Congratulations on your new permanent make-up!!
Microblading, Nano Hybrid, Powder Brows Post-Care
30min Post appointment:
BLOT
You may notice a clearish fluid surfacing on your brows. This is lymph fluid, is completely normal, and is your body beginning the process of healing your brows! Every 30 minutes, or as lymph fluid appears on the brows (whichever is sooner)
Using lightly water dampened paper towel or gauze, gently blot (not rub) your brows carefully.
If you do not remove this fluid you increase your chances of scabbing exponentially, and we want to avoid that as much as possible.
Stop blotting before bed.
Starting the Night of your appointment Through Day 5:(OR UNTIL FLAKING BEGINS)
DO NOT ALLOW BROWS TO GET WET (shower, sweat, etc.), for the next 10 days, other than washing twice a day.
- Wash brows morning and night,
- Using orange liquid Dial soap, create a very light foam in your hands
- With patting motion (not rubbing) pat foam to brows
- Rinse with cold water
- Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Apply a rice grain size amount of aftercare provided sparingly on each brow.
Wash your brows and apply balm in the same manner as described above every morning when you wake up and in the evening before bed. Do this every single day until your brows begin the flaking phase, which is typically around day 5.
Day 5-10:
Flaking typically begins around day 5, sometimes sooner for combo and powder brows. Once this process begins your brows are no longer an open wound and you can discontinue washing your brows twice a day due to the drastic decrease in risk of infection. Another reason we have you discontinue cleansing is to reduce the possibility of disturbing the flaking skin. These flakes are the shedding of the epithelial layer of skin and it is absolutely imperative that they fall off on their own. Failure to allow this skin to shed itself naturally may result in pigment loss.
Feeling itchy? You may apply a very small amount of aftercare ointment to your brows to help alleviate the tightness and itchiness that can oftentimes accompanies this phase of healing. Avoid the urge to itch your brows during this time.
When your brows are no longer flaky (Typically between day 10-14), this phase of healing is complete and you can resume regular activities, for the most part. You will still want to take care to protect your fresh brows, and the new skin that covers them, from UV exposure. (Avoid all retinol, glycolic acids, chemical peels, etc. on or around brow area as these will cause brows to turn red and fade.)**
Failure to follow after care procedures may cause loss of pigment, discoloration or infection. Remember colors and hair strokes appear darker and sharper right after your microblading treatment. As your brows heal, the color will soften and some hair strokes may disappear and reappear.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us at 281-265-0533.
Please be patient. Cosmetic tattooing is a multiple-step appointment process with a healing time of approximately 6 weeks in between touch up appointments. ( We take things slow here DELIBERATELY to tiptoe into perfection. Too much, too soon can create a disaster!)
Important Notes:
**1st time microblading clients, may wish to come for a touch-up on your brows. Must be done within 8-12 weeks after your 1st microblading. Remember to schedule in advance, as the schedules fill up quickly. (After 12 weeks, it will be considered a yearly touch up.)**
FOR THE FIRST 10-14 DAYS (OR UNTIL ALL FLAKING HAS STOPPED):
- NO swimming, saunas, lakes, rivers, etc. Do not submerge the brows in water while they are healing.
- NO sweating or exercising (the salt in sweat can hinder healing and change the color of your brows).
- NO tanning or other direct UV exposure (wear a large rimmed hat to protect brows if you will be in the sun, do NOT apply sunscreen during the first 10-14 days).
- Do not apply makeup on or around the brows until flaking has stopped.
- Use a clean pillow case to help keep bacteria from the area.
- NEVER pull or pick at any flaking skin! This is of the utmost importance. Failure to abide by this rule will not only cause premature loss of pigment but can cause scarring, extended healing time, and permanent damage.
- Avoid sleeping on your face.
- Take short showers (5 minutes is ideal) at a lower temperature than normal to avoid excess steam on the brows, which may loosen any healing skin and result in premature pigment loss. Keep brows out of the water stream.
- In the shower, take care to keep face out of the stream of water. It is much too rough for your brows. Do not touch or wash brows in the shower.
- Do not use any products on your brows other than the ones provided to you in your aftercare kit. This includes Neosporin, Aquaphor (or any other petroleum based product), lotions, etc.
- Do not use any products that lighten, tighten, or brighten EVER on your brows. This will cause them to fade prematurely and can cause them to turn ashy or other undesirable tones.
- Always dry brows thoroughly before applying balm.
- Do not apply any extra aftercare balm in addition to normal post washing applications. Doing so can result in heavy scabbing and buildup to form which can lead to infection. (This only applies to day 1-5, or before flaking begins. Once the flaking stage has begun, you may apply a small amount of aftercare balm as needed to ease itching and tightness).
- Avoid touching the brow area unnecessarily during healing.
- Do not allow children or animals to touch the brow area, avoid dusty atmospheres.

Lash Enhancement & Eyeliner Post-care
We recommend a dry healing method for eyeliner.
Keep your eyes as dry as possible. Clearly, our eyes are naturally wet but just refrain from soaking your eyes area in water (shower/ bath/ swimming).
DAYS 1 – 7
- Avoid getting wet or touching your eyes for the 7 days. Do not pick or pull any scabs, let them heal naturally.
- NO eye cream or eye makeup (mascara, eyeshadow, or eyeliner for 7 days! After 7 days, use a clean mascara wand or brush.
- No lash serum 30 days after your procedure is complete.
- Mild flaking will occur. Avoid touching or picking.
- Swelling will subside with in 48 hours.
- Liner will appear lighter after scabs shed off. Don’t panic, it’s only temporary.
- After 30 days, your color will blossom.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Some puffiness can be normal for right after and the following couple of days. Unless one has extremely sensitive eyes and they experience more than the usual puffiness or redness, it shouldn’t affect normal day-to-day activities.
Notes:
- After a procedure, you will look like you’ve been crying
for a few days. Expect the swelling to subside and look pretty
nice by the 3rd day. By the 4th and 5th day, the outer layer of skin
will peel off. COLOR WILL COME WITH IT! This is a normal part
of the process, so don’t worry. - Have sunglasses available. Eyes may be light sensitive or even dilated immediately after. The sunglasses are also handy for hiding puffy eyes.
- Eyes may feel dry or irritated. Lubricating refresher drops may be used. (use only natural tears or refresh).
- Itching is normal, DO NOT PICK or SCRUB!
- Do not wear makeup on or around the eyes for 7 days.
- Avoid for 1 week; No direct Water, No Steamy baths, No steamy long showers, no pools, no hot tub, no beach for 1 week
Remember the pigment will be lighter after you are healed.
THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES, NO WARRANTY & NO REFUNDS
Expect moderate swelling, usually one to three days following the procedure. While healing, the tattoo will look spotty. This is due to oxidation of the pigment and the redness of the skin. Eyes will fade up to 50% Two or three permanent makeup applications may be required to achieve the desired results.
The following Pre and Post-Care for eyes will affect how quickly or slowly you heal. Mature age, poor diet, stress, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, age, general health, sleep/fatigue. The more fatigued you are the lower your immune system is and infection is more likely to occur. Please get plenty of rest and drink lots of water to hydrate prior to procedure.
**Please be patient. Cosmetic tattooing is a multiple-step appointment process with a healing time of approximately 6 weeks in between touch up appointments.
TANNING WILL LIGHTEN ANY PIGMENTED AREA OVER TIME, SO USE A SUNBLOCK 30+ WHEN TANNING. It is best to fully cover your cosmetic tattoo with a hat once you have healed to avoid premature fading. FAILURE TO FOLLOW PRE OR POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE LOSS OF PIGMENT, DISCOLORATION OR INFECTION.
